No booze-filled pitchers, or cookouts, here. However, Young Master Gregory was asked by the Mayor Of Aurora to accompany him and his wife in a horse drawn carriage in yesterday's 4th Of July parade! Unfortunately, Greggy only knows the Mayor as the man who stops by to shake his uncle's hand at these events, and, alas, I wasn't present, and the City Of Aurora was deprived of having an actual TV star (as the Mayor referred to Greggy) in its parade.
Later in the afternoon, this monster family shared a meal of "America's Cut" boneless pork chops, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, and gravy. Mmm mmm!
And, of course, the highlight of the night was the fireworks. This year, we took in the Batavia show, and it was, as always, a fine display, although their heyday was back in the 90's, when they used to go all out, with laser shows, and ground displays, in addition to a longer running time.
Good times. We hope that all of you enjoyed a perfect holiday as well!
