Love this tune, but I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot baton without great sounds in all sections.
UIL doesn't require a slow and a fast tune. Contrasting styles is preferred. Played well and in tune is the requirement. There are several "okay" sections in your band. I would suggest not playing it.
Other than tuning issues, what are some things that you'd look at on All the Pretty Little Horses with an NV 2C group?
Flutes are okay to weak, clarinets are pretty good, saxes are okay to good, trumpets are okay, low brass is okay to good, percussion is good.
Looks like doublings in the saxes can help the weakness of the flutes.
