Odessa High School in Ector County ISD/Odessa, TX is searching for a head band director for class 6A Odessa High School for the 2018-2019 school year. Odessa High School is a very large, grades 9-12 campus with more than 3,500 students. The Odessa HS Marching Band currently holds the second longest streak of first division marching trophies in Texas, having earned superior ratings since 1945. This is classified an administrative position with administrative pay grade 05 on a 217 day contract—$66,735-$100,161. Responsibilities include not only OHS Head Band duties, but supervising the middle school feeders as well. In April of 2017 ECISD opened the Odessa High School Performing Arts Center which includes a beautiful 845 seat auditorium. |
ECISD has been recognized as one of the NAMM Best Communities for Music Education for 4 consecutive years. There is strong support from the district and community for the Broncho Band. Candidates will have a valid Texas music teaching certificate that includes grades 9-12 or the ability to complete certification prior to August 1, 2018.
