Best way to get Directors Fundraising Information

What would you suggest is the best way to get information about a fundraiser to directors?

Option 1: Email-Do you really read them when they come through or is it just spam to you? Is there something that needs to be in it that will grab your attention?

Option 2: Mailing-Is this old school or do you ignore it as well?

Option 3: Suggestions welcome!!!!

I have a new opportunity that would work great for raising money for guards and dance teams!

I despise fundraising. Mailing usually gets roundfiled, but probably is the least obnoxious to me and I might pay it more attention. Cold-calling and e-mail both get ignored by me in a hurry. Best way honestly? Get a booth at TBA or TMEA and get my attention without annoying me with too much aggression. I'm usually looking for different fundraiser ideas, but I can't stand high pressure used-car salesmen either!

Honestly, none of those methods are something I pay any mind to. In fact, they can be a real pain. What I do respond to is seeing trusted colleagues endorse a program or event on social media. If someone I respect says, firsthand, that this has worked for their program, I am far more inclined to check it out.

Yes to everything this response says.

Cold calling is by far the most annoying. It is to the point I don't answer unless I know who is calling. Also if a fundraiser person leaves a voicemail it is quickly deleted.

Emails are just ok, I might read them but probably will not. It's cheap though so I guess fire away an email.

Snail mailing is probably the most successful way to get to me outside of the word of mouth method the previous post mentioned however it is not very successful with me.

TMEA and word of mouth as well as just being an outstanding fundraiser to begin with all work the best. Don't offer me 20% profit and expect me to pay any attention to you, and the less work I have to do the better. Fundraising is a chore that most everyone hates, make it less of a chore with good products/services and a good profit percentage and then I am listening.

Cold calling doesn’t work, it just gets ignored. In fact it won’t even make it past my secretary, “He’s stepped out of the office, may I take a message?” is about as far as you’ll get.
