If it is in the PD, which if the student did get it at IMSLP it is, you can do pretty much what you want with it weather or not you say it on the Yellow Board. In many cases the copyright info at the bottom of page one is replaced with a statement: "This piece is in the Public Domain", or something along those lines (look at the bottom of the first page of the score to the Sousa marches the Marine Band is putting out, for example). |
