There's wifi in the convention hall, but don't rely on it. Maybe you can hotspot your phone, but I don't always get great reception in there. Download any videos etc beforehand.
Expect that people will be in and out. Don't be offended if I only listen to the first few minutes of your presentation and leave. It's nothing personal. Maybe your session just wasn't exactly what I thought it would be, or maybe there are 3 other sessions at the same time that I wanted to check out and I'm collecting handouts. If I'm staring at my phone instead of you, it's possible I'm just hanging out because I never left after the previous session or I want a good seat for the next one. Or I'm looking at your handout online.
Speaking of handouts, that's your responsibility. TMEA doesn't print them, if you want paper handouts you have to bring them.
Someone from TMEA will meet you a few minutes ahead and hook you up to microphones. One year they didn't have a sound system in that room, and they hung a zoom recorder around my neck.
Aside from that it's a lot like the teaching that you do every day. You'll have much better engagement if you have something for the audience to DO instead of just listening to you talk. I'm not suggesting icebreakers or other silly games you see on PD day, it can be as simple as having them log in to a website to follow along, or physically follow along with your embouchure recommendations, etc.
Good luck!
