One of my beginner clarinets plays consistently flat. She is sitting up, the reed is correct, her mouthpiece is good, clarinet is put together correctly. Mouth is pretty close, but not quite as firm as I would like. The tongue sounds funny. I ask how much of the tongue she uses and she says very little. Placement of the tongue is toward the tip of the reed on the underside. The concert Bb is close, but the concert F,Eb,D, and C are flat. Suggestions?
