Your response was, essentially, marching band financially supports choir and orchestra. In addition to not being true, this doesn't answer the question of band students (imo) poorly investing their time and money for their music education.
You then said, if football went away, all band/orchestra/choir would too (which, I think everyone would agree, are the most concentrated music education environments in the school...).
Football goes away = music education goes away, that's how I read it. If that's not what you meant, what exactly did you mean? because your followup seems to contradict your initial statement. Aren't you contradicting your self here?
YOU: If football went away, the band would soon follow. Orchestra would fall some time later and there is always choir at Church.
ME: If football went away, MUSIC EDUCATION would disappear from schools? Is this really what you believe?
YOU: No, music education would not go away.
So, to clarify, your initial statement was wrong?
