Re: Region band scoring
Similar to the poster below, I advocate a rubric in your head but in perhaps 10, 20, or 25 point increments - whatever works best for you. If you think of a 1-5 scale, that could easily be 20 point increments that get you in the ballpark correctly. From there you can use within that range to help separate letters. I have never seen anyone actually have their own rubric that would weight each kid - I'm not even sure there is actually enough time in the process to do so.
All that being said, you generally get 3 groups regardless of how you choose to rank it. Should Advance-Really Prepared/Kinda Sorta Knew It/Shouldn't have shown up at all.
