Re: Typical 4A Band Size
Not 4A. But typical is debatable. I'm at a 3A with 399 in HS and 100 in band. Don't worry about what your numbers are compared to established bands. If you want it to grow focus on establishing the band as a viable organization on campus. Work with your feeder programs, get to know those junior high kids, encourage them on their successes.
I am trying to see what a typical 4A band size is. I know we are small compared to must bands in our region, and I want to see statewide.
Plus how do you reward students and motivate the students. We have a community that bows down for football (and nothing wrong with that, they are good this year), but for anything else it's like pulling teeth.
Any suggestions. I am trying to build a program, but it's just not building, and that used to be my specialty.
