Re: Tips for Improving CONSISTENCY
When we're learning new stuff, I have them finger and only let the kids who can perform it and get a 100 play. The other kids finger until they get it right.
I also only let the model group or kids who won't miss play.
We do alot of play it on concert F, etc. That's how we clean and get it better.
Great, you can play it correctly ONCE. The next time I feel like it's just up to the luck of the draw as to whether or not they nail it again. I keep preaching excellence, but at the end of the day when the passage comes up, I feel like they're just rolling dice and leaving it up to chance.
What ways have you guys been successful in instilling a sense of consistency in the kids' playing?
Any techniques or food for thought?
