For me on drumset it totally depends on the music I'm playing. For shows, jazz, etc, I like 5A or 7A. I've even been using a really small BopWorks "Mel Lewis" stick that is great for situations where I am trying to be wallpaper. In louder situations I've been trying 5Bs and I totally am loving the heavier stick for feel and projection. I find that I'm not having to use as much effort to cut through the mix and be heard. For a marching stick, I still really like a longer taper but I'm probably in the minority. I've always loved the design of the Hardimons, although the Rennick stick looks intriguing to me.
