It's yours to do what you want with it. It's intellectual property. Sibelius did not create that property. You did. Sibelius was only the tool you used to create it. It would be like if you borrowed a hammer from the school to build a house...the house is not the school's. It's your house created by you. The owner of a tool is not the owner of the property it creates unless some sort of contract was created and agreed upon beforehand.
In other words, *I* never personally bought the Sibelius program. It is registered through the district. Wrote a piece. Can I monetize this still? or is that not allowed?
