So far 8 ex students in the Edinburg ISD have been granted their diplomas. I believe that some of these go back to the 1990's.
This district has a Sept. 1 deadline for anyone that did not graduate due to failing the state test to apply to receive their diploma.
The key is: "successfully" as in passed all coursework to be eligible.
Did I hear correctly?
This bill allows hs seniors to graduate, as long as they pass their school coursework, even if they failed their TAKS, STAAR tests?
All of the drama of pullouts, Saturday BS, STAAR remedial classes, etc. all for naught?
Someone needs to hang for all the @@$% and the @# brought on all of the hardworking men and women in the classrooms across Texas.
