Re: Bari Jazz Ligature?

What kind of ligatures are you currently using? Rovner ligatures are pretty versatile, so that would be a good start. The 2RBL fits most slim bari sax mouthpieces, and the 3R fits most rubber bari sax mouthpieces. It sounds like the V16 might be a narrow mouthpiece, since the other ligatures don't fit, so the 2RBL is probably what you want. That being said, you may want to call Rovner and double check that it is the correct size.
: I recently purchased a Vandoren V16 B5 Bari
: sax mouthpiece for my jazz band, only to
: discover that literally none of the many
: ligatures we own fit this mouthpiece. All
: of our bari ligatures are too big and all of
: our tenor ligatures are too small. The bass
: clarinet ligatures don't fit either. I've
: noticed this problem on another bari jazz
: mouthpiece we have. What ligature do I need
: to buy to fit this mouthpiece?
