Re: Question about References

List someone you know well who is better known and more experienced than your head director. List them first. I’m fairly well informed on situations, so when a young director contacts me I am happy to proactively call a prospective employer and “share thre real story.” I have an administrator certificate, and am easily able to communicate with an administrator or fine arts director. There are people you know who can and will advocate for you. Best wishes.
: I know it seems early to be talking about
: this, but I'm trying to get my resume and
: references ready for TMEA. Part of the
: reason I'm leaving is my head director. I
: won't get into details, but I think I'd be
: better served looking elsewhere.
: My question is should I include them as a
: reference? I know many potential employers
: will call them anyway, and I've already
: included two others, including my
: supervisor. But what is the consensus
: amongst other directors?
