I usually hear this one called "Fanfare." On trumpet it's G-B-G-B G, G, G G-B-G. In rhythm 8th, 8th, 8th, 8th, quarter, quarter, quarter, 8th, 8th, quarter.

THANK YOU for the help from everyone. After many phone calls and a HUGE lead from a fellow yellow-boarder, here's the final answer...
That other thing is called "Go Big Blue." Apparently written by Joe Carl while in college at University of Michigan in the 1970's then arranged by Albert Ahronheim. Joe is currently the band director at Sumner High School in Washington. "Go Big Blue" is available for $25.00 (with two other things) from Theodore Presser Company at presser.com. Penders can get it for you too. I encourage you to buy it. He's one of us; some dude directing band at some high school. I sure wish I could make a little scratch off some diddy I wrote back in college!!
Someone was correct in saying we need it for our cheer competition. Our cheer sponsor is great and very supportive of our band. It's encouraging she wants to use a recording of OUR KIDS here at OUR SCHOOL rather than something else.
No, it is not public domain, Mr. Carl still makes a little money off it. I got to speak with him briefly myself.
