A sinus infection can be chronic and go on for a long time. If you're not familiar with using a neti pot (or other nasal rinse product), I was able to overcome a long-standing sinus infection by doing a nasal rinse three times a day. It definitely helps you breathe better which helps promote healing. I prefer the squeeze bottle form. Ask someone at the drug store counter. There are several brands.
The other factor is sleep and rest. If you're not getting it thus far, make a point of it over the holidays. Keep the celebrating to a minimum, stay in bed, read, take naps. Rest is the best thing you can do to assist your immune system. Do the same on weekends when school is in session. Skip the partying, wind down on Friday evenings with a movie or book at home. Take a nap on Saturdays. This is what has worked for me.
