I've sat down with parents who looked like my grandmother, and might have gone to the same church, and read them the X-rated transcript of their child's conversation in my class. Don't act embarrased, and don't be embarrased, at re-telling what the kid did. The kid, and probably the parents, will be plenty embarrased for you.
: So I had an incedent in class that began with
: a junior high student making
: "inappropriate gestures" on his
: mouthpiece with his mouth. I'm sure you all
: understand the 7th grade band male and know
: exactly what I'm talking about.
: So, our principal (who is VERY slow) has me
: come in and talk more about the situation.
: Principal: "So, what was he
: Me: "Well, he was making some very
: inappropriate gestures on his
: mouthpiece." (I explain what the
: mouthpiece is and what it looks like."
: P: "Ok, but what was he doing?"
: M: "Well... you can imagine a 7th grade
: boy's mind and what they would be trying
: to... emulate..."
: P: "... ok, but what exactly was he
: M: *screaming internally*
