I don't have time to go into all of the details, but ATPE will help you even without tapping into your insurance.
I am a member of ATPE and UEA. UEA is in the Fort Worth/Dallas area only.
TMEA insurance is more for the private lesson teachers in direct contact with students and not school admin.
ATPE will help you with your admin if it is needed (again, without tapping into your policy in most cases).
In 20 years of teaching, I have never been without ATPE or UEA. I stand by both organizations.
Finally, ATPE's lawyers specialize in education law. You don't want just any lawyer. You want a specialist.
Hope this helps.
: Hello everyone.
: I'm about to renew my TMEA membership and
: was looking at the liability insurance
: policy as well as the policy for ATPE. Do
: these both cover basically the same thing or
: is there one that's better? Anyone with
: experience with this? Thanks!
