The umpire was terrible - the comment about somebody getting hurt was not made by me. Moe said it to the umpire when he was trying to explain that the only place you can hit those pitches is back up the middle. Your pitcher and several of our players were laughing about the strike zone for much of the game. I imagine that his strike zone was just as bad for Amvets, but I was in the outfield and couldn't really see it.
The play that caused all the uproar wasn't even really important. It still took a basehit to win and Tyler was safe at home. The play was close, but a tag was never applied.
Spectators should not get involved - be it our fans or yours - in anything besides cheering.
I can understand the emotion of the moment, but I don't understand how you can still want to fight a day later. I didn't hear anybody say anything personal.
We will probably have to play again before long and I hope we beat you by 30. Not because you beat us in FunFest or because of what happened Saturday - I want to beat the snot out of everybody we play. I just hope we can play without needing armed security at the ballfield.
