The Tennessee Amateur Softball Association (TNASA), a volunteer driven, not-for-profit organization, is seeking applicants for the position of District Commissioner for the District 4 (Oak Ridge) association. The ASA Commissioner should be an individual who is interested in serving as the principal liaison between the local District and the Tennessee ASA State Office.
The ASA was founded in 1933 and has evolved into the strongest softball organization in the country. The growth and development of the association led the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) to name the ASA as the National Governing Body of Softball, pursuant to the Amateur Sports Act of 1978.
Those interested in serving as the District 4 Commissioner for the Oak Ridge District should forward a resume to: Tennessee ASA : 4131 Bradford Lane : Johnson City, TN 37601 by October 15, 2009.
