: Can you breed a blind horse?(mare)
Certainly you can breed a blind mare, but remember, she cannot see her foal. So you must have a private paddock that is 100% safefor your mare. You will have to be certain she bonds with her foal and lets it nurse. No other horse can have access to the foal for fear it will harm the foal--If mom can't see she cannot protect her child--So if you decide to breed, realize how much work you're letting yourself in for. Someone must attend the foaling and be certain they bond. Best of luck to you If your mare has had a foal beore--t will be easier since she knows what is happening--good luck! Pat. the Stable Mom
