WOW. $7Canadian for 8 pages. Reason for not buying it back then... Curious though, does anyone know how this 'special' [96 pages for $5American] did in sales.
If plain poser covers help sales then... no comment needed.
Well, maybe not a slut but certainly a little more short than usually drawn. Maybe it was a clue that she was the skrull Veranke - ifff its since been verified officially that was who people were purchasing. She was asked FIVE TIMES to be an Avenger? That seems arbitrarily high - has there been 5 in-story citings of this?
Funny reading her offhand comment about Clint today - considering their romantic road now headed on under the same writer. Kinda distracting that banger#2 is for-no-reason looking off to his left with Drew also standing in that panel. Also, detracting that we do not actually see if she uses reflexes to stop the shot banger#1 did get off. Otherwise, the overall art was okay.
It wouldve been nice to get her employer's name for such a high cover price and so little new content.
Have we seen Connely [storyline] anywhere since? Do we know the last issue she gave up being Spider-Woman?

The classic issue is fairly recapped here: http://www.supermegamonkey.net/chronocomic/entries/marvel_spotlight_32.shtml May comment more in future about how much of it has proven false[ie retconed out]. It is kind of neat to see the codenames ARACHNE and ALPHA FLIGHT used well before Julia or superhuman Canucks appeared at Marvel. Will note that it is obvious how this showing gave good reason for the fan following this legacy lass has gotten - because she is kicks ass and evokes human drama with this impressive intro into the MU! Comparitively she has been no more than a smudge on the Avengers roll call since joining.
The other 3 reprints also worth commenting on later:

I miss Dan.
