DARK REIGN: MADE MEN #! featured an all-new Enforcer! His name his Mike Nero and he's the nephew of the original Enforcer, Charles Delezny Jr. Flashbacks show how Delezny tutored his nephew into taking over his identity if ever he was killed (which, of course, we know happened). He also suggested his nephew take on supernatural cases, as there is more money to be made in killings that no one else dares touch. Cut to the present, the new Enforcer ends up in front of the Hood, who wants him to join his group. However, the Enforcer's uncle warned him not to join any teams and work solo, so the Enforcer tells the Hood to shove his offer up his ass. He blasts the Wrecking Crew with his guns, injuring them with his magic-based bullets. He dives out the window, and the new Enforcer runs off, saying his work has just begun and nobody will stop him.
Loved this story. I've waited years for a new Enforcer and we finally have one. I also like that he's a hitman who goes after supernatural threats, like zombies and vampires and such. This enables him to be a great candidate for the DOCTOR VOODOO series. I'd love to see the new Enforcer give Jericho Drumm some trouble. This story also puts to bed the original Enforcer's slight identity dilemma, as CAPTAIN AMERICA #320 and SPIDER-WOMAN #27-29 made us believe Carson Collier was the Enforcer, at least at some point, even though GHOST RIDER #26 revealed him to be Delezny. This issue clearly reveals that Delezny was the Enforcer and was the Enforcer killed by Scourge.
