I was very disappointed with this short tale of Spider-Woman's past as detective for tons of reasons. Here are a few:
1. The narrative box has Arachne's symbol, not Jessica Drew's.
2. Jessica was always shown as having it together, despite her many social problems stemming from her pheromones. Seeing the would-be detective in her office in such disarray hardly seems fitting for Ms. Drew.
3. Jessica didn't even become a PI until she moved to San Francisco!
4. Lame action for a super heroine as powerful and as skilled as Spider-Woman. There's no way a thug could get the jump on Spider-Woman with her enhanced spider-hearing.
I give it 2 out of 5 stars.
