: that completely sucks. The only reason I
: started buying New and then Mighty Avengers
: was for Jessica. Now, I see it was all a
: ruse.
:
: While the idea is interesting, I can't
: muster any excitement because I'm kinda
: dissapointed and a little bit bummed. I
: know. I know. She's just a comic book
: character. But I really got a kick out of
: her returning to the mainstream again. Plus,
: I have to wonder why waste time doing the
: origin and retconning a lot of her past for
: a "fake". :
: Oh well, the ride was fun while it lasted.

I have no doubt that the powers-that-be were pushing Spider-Woman hard, but changed their minds in mid-stream. There's no way I believe they had this planned out since re-introducing Jessica a few years ago. The same thing happened in Civil War; it didn't flow well as a mini-series and it too appeared to be a work in progress right up until the end. Fortunately for me, I haven't given Marvel any of my hard-earned cash ever since they tried to push Black Panther down my throat (he got the Silver Surfer in an armlock a couple of years ago, and I still haven't gotten over that)
