Why? Well, I think the SW portions in SI are meant to make the read think that the Queen is masquerading as SW. I still think that it's Jessica really trying to get into Tony's head and see if he is, in fact, a skrull. Obviously, she knows there are sleeper agents and thinks he might be one of them. I'm sticking with the fact that she's pretending to be the queen.
Yes, I know about Bendis' commentary. I believe it's another red herring. I mean, would he kill Echo? That's his friend's (David Mack) character. I think he's giving us the run around.
