Thanks Tom. I stumbled across this post yesterday.
In response to the initial poster; yes, I knew I was taking some liberty with her powers. But when I saw the photo, she was the first character I thought of.
Again, I appreciate the compliments, but I can't help but be incensed at the accusation of "copying" another artists' work. But I guess I'll just let it go for now.

: Also, now that I think of it, it is possible
: that Joyce Chin used the same photo
: reference as I did.
: There is a monthly Drawing Jam section on
: the Drawing Board where a photo is posted
: and everyone does their take on it.
: So just because multiple people may use the
: same reference material does not mean they
: are copying another's work.
: I leave comic art plagerism up to Rob
: Liefeld.
: Thanks to everyone else for their kind words
: by the way,

: Actually, I used a photo reference from
: Petter
: Hegre. This is the first time I have seen
: this image or heard of Joyce Chin for that
: matter.
: So yeah, it is an original image.

: The original that he copied from is by Joyce
: Chin. It's a nice piece of work, but he
: should not credit it as original
