I agree that it should have been on panel, but it's not too hard to fill in the blanks as to what occured between the two of them. She came full of venom and vinegar, and was so hyped up on her hate, that a rookie teen was able to take her down.

The most highly trained martial artist can easily be taken down in a street fight. It's not about the moves or the style (though they help), it is about what YOU can do and how you react. Arachne, highly trained as she may be, was full of stone cold hatred. Anyone who's seen a STAR WARS movie knows that hate is the path to the Dark Side, and she wasn't thinking too straight, with the results we saw.
