Did you know.......................softball was developed an indoor game in 1887 by George W. Hancock. Lewis Rober of the Minneapolis Fire Department adapted the game to be played outdoors!For playing softball undoors they used old boxing gloves and they enjoyed the game a lot, and the idea of playing with a " soft ball" grew more and more popular for the people who had small fields or indoor arenas.Softball was discovered in 1887. It was also discovered on Thanksgiving Day.The indoor game of softball was invented in Chicago and the outdoor game in Minneapolis.
