i have been watching or playing major softball for 30 years and here's my "greatest" list: TOP 10 all around players, 1-Cecil Whitehead, 2-Brit Hightower, 3-Ronnie Ford, 4-Dick Bartel, 5-Todd Joerling, 6-Charles Wright, 7-Ron Parnell, 8-Curtis Williams, 9-Rick Scheer, 10-Buddy Slater(so good he didn't have to hit). TOP 10 hitters, 1-Craig Elliot, 2-Rick Scheer, 3-Dirk Androff(probably would have been #1 if career had not been shortened), 4-Bruce Meade, 5-Mike Macenko, 6-Rusty Bumgardner, 7-Jeff Hall, 8-Bill Gatti, 9-(tie)Freddie Trice and Joe Young, 10-(tie)Charles Wright and Jim Fuller.
