Ah, I haven't noticed any issues with the game thus far. I still have my $10 point card and won't use it for a while yet. My families so far are all appearing (granted I've only created 3 as of the typing of this post). I haven't noticed anything weird with the lighthouse. I'll have to take a look when I play the game again.
My mail so far has been okay. I receive the bills that I should, turn around and pay them, then receive more in another day or two (now that's a feature that I think they really could have limited to one - two times a week
). I did buy a buy for my one family but haven't had a problem there either. I bought and placed a bike rack before purchasing the bike. Perhaps if you purchased them out of order so to speak that's what is causing the problems?
I haven't tried recoloring anything really other than clothing. Oh wait, I take that back. I did recolor a few things in my original house but so far *knock on particle board* so good.
The only real complaints I have about my game is that it seems as though when your sims become adults they age too fast. The first sim I created was of a female adult. So while I'm learning how to play the game, etc she's aging like a maniac. I created a male sim, had him move in with her, let them get a little funky and fresh, baby comes along. Okay, now here's where it gets interesting. She turns into an elder before her maternity leave runs out. The day after she turns into an elder, her leave runs out. The following day her baby turns into a toddler. I haven't been playing that family because now I'm paranoid that my elderly sim is going to drop over dead in the middle of tending her garden.
I created a young adult female sim last night and I'm a bit disappointed with the choices that came with the game. I wanted to go for a goth look with her but apparently I'm going to have to shell out some $$ to achieve what I want. Bratstards!
