"What is already stocked on the shelf is what will be automatically replaced when you tell a sim to restock. So if there is a SLICE of cheesecake on the top shelf, you have to have a SLICE of cheesecake in your inventory to restock that place on the shelf. I finlay got fed up with the slice of stuff and replaced them with entire cakes since you can't make a single slice of cake, you have to first serve the cake and then place items individually in your inventory. To do this, all you have to do is manually remove the items in the case and manually replace them with items in your inventory. Then MAKE SURE TO use the highlighter button on the business toolbar to mark the items for sale. " Hope that helps!
