I actually agree with him on this.Thats why giving them back earth-s seemed a good idea.The way the shazam family has been used on new-earth is very different than they were in the pre-crisis era-and without Superman D.C. could transform the shazam family to that role and the financial equation might demand it.Not saying I like the idea(earth-s is where they would thrive)but the possibility exists.
