If you guys really want to see how to do a Capt. Marvel story, go pick up a copy of "JUSTICE". Now that's how you do Billy/Capt. Marvel. It's not as if DC doesn't know how to write an effective CM story, or that they don't have the right writers to pull it off (Justice Proves that)it's just that they simply don't want to. They want to keep the shazam mythos relegated to this obscure role(s), in order to maintain the status quo of the DC Comics franchise hierarchy. He isn't an "original" DC character, so you know how that goes. And considering their checkered past with this character, I believe the only reason they finally decide to give the character to someone who'll actually do justice by him (no pun intended), is to ease the tension between themselves & people like me who love the character & are sick & tired of seeing him constantly portrayed as a joke. Hell, even the JUSTICE story line, as great as it is, takes place in a elseworld setting. They don't even have the respect for the character to place this storyline within the regular DC continuity...
