I think your wrong about the Superboy reference
the original Superboy was basically Superman as a youth in Smallville, CMJr is a totally separate person from CM or Billy Batson, even if your talking about the current Superboy (Kon-el) he is a clone of Supes and Luthor how does that correlate to Freddy Freeman a handicapped friend of Billy Batson, I can see your point about Supergirl comparisons can definitely be made. As far as Kryto, and Hoppy they are stupid characterizations to begin with and should just be forgotten.
where do these guys get this manga crap? luther is a clone of sivana, superboy & suprgirl are clones of captain marvel jr. and mary marvel, & krypto's a knock off of hoppy the marvel bunny. just give credit to captain marvel for being superman's one true match. i'll admit the that the cheesyness has got to go, but is that as bad as wearing red underwear? dc messed up with captain marvel way too much in the 33 years that they had him and now it's time the cap be taken seriously. they need to get rid of the "holy moly" that's held him back for so long.
