good points. the very best thing that dc could do is make an all star shazam! comic for all those old school readers. as for the direction dc is taking capt marvel right now, i like it, it's about time. the wizard never really had much to do with anything, so his death is acceptable. and as for capt marvel's new role, it only makes sense. the trails of shazam! series is taking a huge chance with a much underated and underused icon. i'm 28 and grew up with the cheese version, i can't say that i'd still be a die hard if the cheese was still in the character today. hell, i stopped reading superman after dc turned him electric for about 6 years. it is time for this character to shine. alex ross is doing that with all characters in his justice series. it's too bad that that story is out of countinuity, he even makes a stupid character like plastic man cool. my only beef with dc is what they have going on right now,there are just too many marvels now. you have capt marvel, black adam, mary marvel, captain marvel jr, isis, and osiris. i would not be surprised if at the end of 52 isis and osris die and black adam goes back to his evil ways. maybe that's why we haven't heard a peep out of them even in the brave new world issue where all the marvels losttheir powers, this shouldhave applied to the "black marvel family" too.
