Posted by Sharika on 1/18/2002, 8:42 pm Mac returns to his office, after leaving the interrogation room. He's going over the police report to make sure it's in order, before taking the file over to the DA's office. Suddenly, his office door swings open and Felicia storms in. Mac, we need to talk. Are the girls ok? They're fine. It's about that girlfriend of yours. Mac is thinking: here we go. What was she doing at Maxie's school today? How do you know she was there? I know she was there and you were there too. Felicia, the only way you would know that is either Maxie told you or you followed us. Yes, I followed you. I had no idea Maxie was having a career day at school. I found out from Bobbie. I went to GH to see her and she wondered why I wasn't at school. I just put two and two together and came up with Dara Jensen. Look Felicia, Dara did Maxie a favor. What's the problem? The problem is that Dara is "not" Maxie's mother. I am. I want to know why my daughter didn't tell me about career day? Felicia, you need to go home and ask Maxie that question. Now if you will excuse me, I'm busy. And one more thing, stay away from Dara. I know you barged into her office. She's not the enemy. Fine, but this isn't over Mac Scorpio. Not by a long shot. Felicia leaves, slamming the door behind her. Mac sits down behind his desk, shaking his head wondering what he ever saw in her. Later that night, Felicia arrived home and is surprised to find Tony Jones in her house. He explained that the regular babysitter had to leave and she called him. She thanked him for watching the girls and Tony leaves. She then goes upstairs to check on her daughters. She looks in on Georgie and sees that she's asleep. She then goes to check on Maxie. She sees a light, so she knocks before entering. Hi Maxie. Hey Mom. Honey, I need to talk to you. Putting down her book, ok. What about? Maxie, I need to know why you didn't tell me about career day and why did you ask Dara Jensen to speak instead of me? Ms. Jensen is an ADA. I thought I would get a better grade if I got someone with an important job. I see, Felicia mutters while silently fuming. You don't think my job is important? I didn't say that. I didn't think she would be available. Just took a chance and she was available. Still doing a slow burn, did Mac put you up to it? No, he didn't. I only asked him if she would be interested in doing something like this but I was the one who asked her, since it was my assignment. It's not a big deal Mom. Maxie, it's a big deal to me. The fact that you didn't tell me about it in the first place hurts me very much. How can you not tell me? I'm sorry Mom. Since you're starting your PI business again, I wanted someone already established in their career. I thought Ms. Jensen was a good choice.
Mac and Alexis were in the middle of their meeting, when the phone rings. It's my private line, I better answer it. It's either Dara or the girls. Mac, it's ok. He picks up the phone, hello? Mac, it's Dara. I'm sorry to bother you. I know you're in the middle of your meeting with Alexis. Honey, it's ok. I just wanted to warn you that your psycho ex-wife might be on her way over to your office. She stormed into my office and threw a hissy fit because I spoke at Maxie's school today. She just left and I thought I should warn you in case she shows up there. Thanks for the warning. I'll take care of it, see you later. Mac hangs up the phone.
Alexis, I'm sorry for the interruption. It's ok. I take it that it was about Felicia? It was. She stormed into Dara's office in a tirade. Her daughter Maxie asked Dara to speak at her school for career day. It was today and since she didn't have to be in court, Dara accepted. I was there, she did great. Aren't you being bias? Mac smiles. Probably, but she really did great. She held the students attention and they were asking a lot of questions about the law. I'm sure she was very informative. Anyway, let's get back to what we were discussing. Have you decided what you want to do about the custody suit?
Alexis, the thing is that I really don't want to put the girls through a messy custody fight. The girls need their mother. I just want them to know that I'm here for them whenever they need me. I'm afraid if I decided to drop the suit, Felicia would try to use my relationship with Dara to restrict my visitation. Mac, you really think she would do that? After what she just did, absolutely. Felicia is capable of anything. Ok, I'm going to try to set up a meeting with Felicia's attorney and see if we can work something out. Thank you Alexis. There's a knock on the door and Taggert enters. Sorry to interrupt your meeting Mac, but we needed you in the interrogation room. Actually Taggert, we're done. Mac, I'll be in touch. Alexis leaves, while Mac and Taggert head for the interrogation room.

Maxie, Dara Jensen is a home wrecker. If it wasn't for her, Mac would be still living with us. You don't really believe that, do you? Mom, you cheated on Mac with Mr. Spencer. Do you honestly think he would take you back after that? What you did was unforgivable. Even if Mac wasn't seeing anyone, he still wouldn't come back. Maybe it's easier for you to blame Ms. Jensen, but don't blame her for something that was your fault. Just because you don't like her doesn't mean I have to share your opinion. Mom, you have to accept the fact that Mac isn't coming back to you. I've accepted it and so has Georgie. It's time you accepted it too. If we're done talking, I would like to turn in for the night. Fine. Felicia leaves and goes into her bedroom. She sees the frame "family" photo of her, Mac and the girls. Maxie is right. It is my fault. She begins to cry.
