Posted by Sharika on 1/5/2002, 3:59 pm Dara was working on case files when she hears a ruckus coming from outside her door. Suddenly, the door opens and in walks Felicia and Dara's secretary. I'm sorry Ms. Jensen. I told her she couldn't just barge into your office. Should I call security? Looking at Felicia, no it's ok. Ms. Jones won't be staying long. It's Mrs. Scorpio, Felicia corrected. Whatever. That will be all Jennifer. Ok, Jennifer leaves.
Mac and Dara arrive at Dara's office, after a quick lunch. Mac, do you think Maxie is interested in a career in law? I don't know. She hasn't mentioned any career aspirations to me. I think it's good that the school is doing the career day lectures now, while they're still in grade school. I didn't get the lectures until the 10th grade. Mac, I didn't want to ask before but I have to ask now. Did you talk Maxie into asking me to speak at her school? No, I didn't. It was her idea. The only thing she asked me was: would you be interested? Since I don't speak for you, I just called your office and handed her the phone to ask you herself. Mac, I'm sorry for thinking that. I'm just a little surprised she asked me to do this. I mean, we hardly know each other. True, but she asked you anyway. That's what matters. They hug.
You know I have the girls this weekend. Why don't we all have dinner together Saturday? Mac, you should have your time with them alone. I don't want to intrude. Dara, you won't be intruding. I want them to get to know you and you to know them. Mac, I don't want you to force them. I'm not. I know the divorce and moving out of the house was hard on them. I'm hoping in time, they will accept that their mother and I won't be getting back together again. They already know I'm dating you. Dara, would you at least think about it? I just want a chance to show the girls what a wonderful woman you are. They kiss.
Mac, it's sweet that you want to include me completely in your life. Of course I do. I love you. You mean the world to me. I love you too. They kiss again. Mac's cell phone rings, causing them to break their kiss. He takes the phone out of his pocket and answers it: Scorpio? Ok, thanks. I'm on my way. He hangs up and put the phone back in his pocket. I have to go. Alexis is waiting for me in my office. I have to make a decision soon whether or not to go through with the custody battle. What are you going to do? Alexis is going to go over my options, I'll decide from there. Right now, I have unlimited visitation. Felicia may try and use my relationship with you to restrict my visitation, if I decide to drop the suit. I want to prevent that from happening. I'm going to go and see what Alexis has to say. I'll see you later. They kiss again and then Mac leaves.

Felicia noticed the door was left opened, so she went to close it. Wondering what she wants, figuring it has something to do with Mac. Dara asks: Felicia, what can I do for you? You want to know what you can do for me, you can start by staying away from my daughter. What the hell were you doing at her school today? Giving a lecture. Didn't Maxie tell you? No and I want to know why she didn't. I suggest you ask your daughter that question because I have no idea. You stay away from her. I will not stand by and let you and Mac turn my daughter against me. Dara could only shake her head at Felicia's accusations.
Felicia, you have truly lost your mind. First of all, I hardly know your daughter. Secondly, Maxie called me. Not the other way around to speak at her school. I had a light schedule today, so I said yes. I didn't ask her why but she must have her reasons why she asked me to speak, instead of you. I suggest you go and ask Maxie what those reasons are. Speaking of going, the door is right behind you. Don't let it hit you on the way out. Feeling dismissed, Felicia didn't move. Listen, you have two choices. You can leave on your own or I can call security and have them drag your bony ass out of here. Or better yet, I can call Mac and have him send one of his officers over here and have them throw your sorry butt in lock up for harassment. The choice is yours. Felicia gets angry but tries to remain calm. I'm going to leave this time. But this is not over Dara Jensen. Not by a long shot. Felicia leaves, slamming the door behind her. Dara just shakes her head, wondering what the hell did Mac ever see in her.
