Posted by Sharika on 10/29/2001, 9:04 pm Dara wakes up the next morning to the sounds of running water in the shower and Mac singing the Turtles song "Happy Together". He's not the best singer in the world, but she didn't care. She was just happy that Mac was with her all night. She has been suppressing her feelings for him for years and last night, she finally told and showed him just how much she loved him. She smiles as she thinks about their first night together. She moves over to his side of the bed and just held onto the pillow where he slept and closed her eyes, as she continues to think about her night with Mac.
Moments later, Mac enters the bedroom after his shower, wearing only a towel around his waist. He sees that Dara is still sleeping. He sits on the bed next to her and watches her sleep. He smiles as he thinks about their night together. He knew how he felt about her, but he was very surprise by Dara's feelings for him. He had no idea that she has been in love with him for years and kept it to herself. He can understand why she haven't told him sooner. He was married and she didn't want to be perceived as a homewrecker. And she didn't want to feel that she was getting him on the rebound. Mac is thinking that's why he hestitated getting too close to Dara. Rebound relationships never lasts and he doesn't want that for him and Dara. I'm glad she waited before telling me what was in her heart. I don't think I would have loved her then as I do right now.
Dara opens her eyes and sees Mac's sparkling green eyes staring at her. Good morning. Good morning to you too beautiful. Dara sits up and she and Mac share a kiss and a hug. I had a great time last night. Mmm, me too. Mac, it still feels like a dream. It wasn't a dream. It was very real. Maybe this will convince you. Mac gives Dara a passionate kiss. Does that feel like a dream? No. Do you have any plans for today or this weekend? No, but I do have to hit the supermarket today. What did you have in mind? Well, I was thinking more on the lines of spending the weekend together. And since you're going to the supermarket, what do you say we cook something together and have a romantic dinner for two? Dara snuggles closer in Mac's arms. That sounds like a wonderful idea. Good, so I'm going to go home to pick up a few things, while you shower and get dress. We'll go to the supermarket together and decide what we should cook for our romantic dinner. Ok, I'm looking forward to this. He kisses her forehead. Me too. I love you. I love you too. They kiss again and then Dara heads for the bathroom and Mac gets dress and leaves.

After packing an overnight bag, Mac grabs his keys and opens the door, only to find Felicia standing on the other side. Felicia, what are you doing here? Well, hello to you too Mac. Sorry, good morning. I repeat, what are you doing here? I wanted to talk to you. I'm on my way out. Another date with Dara? Kind of early isn't it? That's none of your business. Mac, when is this silly fantasy of yours going to end? This little fling of yours has gone on long enough. Don't you dare compare my relationship with Dara to your fling with Luke Spencer. You are just mad because he dumped your sorry ass and went back to Laura. And if I remember correctly, I told you that would happen. Mac, I know you're angry at me but come on: Dara Jensen. You can't possibly be interested in her. Why? You don't think I can attract other women? No, I'm not saying that. So you think I can't possibly be interested in any woman, but you? Get over yourself Felicia. I'm not coming back to you. I'm not your consolation prize anymore. I've moved on. I suggest you do the same. Now if you will excuse me, I need to be somewhere. Mac gets into his car and drives away, leaving Felicia standing in the driveway. You and I are not over Mac. I will get you back.
