Karns (2-0) over Knoxville Central (1-1) by a score of 6-0. Senior Josh Dillon pitched a great game for Karns today as he threw a complete 7 inning game and scattered 5 hits (5 K's) while walking none, all while throwing only 79 pitches. Karns struck early in the 1st inning and scored 4 runs. Karns had 13 hits on the day with Cale Iorg 3 for 3 (2-1B, 1-3B, 1 RBI), Dalas Rector 3 for 3 (2-1B, 1-2B, 1 RBI), Wes Lee 2 for 3 (2-2B, 2 RBI), Dana Mayes 2 for 4 (1-1B, 1-2B, 1 RBI), John Barrett 1 for 2 (1-2B, 1 RBI) Clinton (2-1) over Oak Ridge (0-2) by a score of 6-4. Senior John Stair pitched a very good game for Clinton as he threw 7 innings and gave up 4 runs on 8 hits. Oak Ridge used lefty Brendon Brown for 5 1/3 innings and reliver Adam Black for 2/3 innings. Powell is finished for the year... Freshman "Ace" Jeffery Lockwood of Knoxville Halls threw six innings and gave up 2 hits and struck out 12 while Joe White closed out the 7th inning for Halls. Halls led 2-1 after six innings.
