Yes, we have been using them for about 5 years in a six horse barn. We used them with both shavings and rice hulls and found that they do save a great deal of money on bedding. We live near Paso Robles in dry central coastal California, and they do work better in the dryer summer months. You do need to keep the bedding deep to keep the skins from wearing out. We have replaced 3 of our 6 stall skins so far, but I have saved more in shavings costs. Most of the wear came in the first years when I was not using enough bedding.
