Posted by michella This wonderfull Stable is Located in Montville New Jersey. It is over 100 years old to my knowledge and may be even older. It Previously was used as a Cow/ horse farm, about 50 years ago, and at that time there were 5 existing buildings. But over the last 5 years the previous occupants took horrible care of it. And to make matters even worse the last 2 Hurricanes have done major damage to 2 of the other buildings. Now there are 3 parts standing, but 2 or them are in route to be torn down due to there condition. The last one is in better condition, but needs tons of work. It needs to be split in half from the side that is badly damaged, to salvage the usable 4 stall barn currently in use. It also needs a new roof and a new floor in the hay loft. It also need the pasture finished with brush clearing and fencing. I got this stable about a year ago, and have sunkin about $4000.00 in repairs, that I am still paying off, and as you can see this project is far from done. I am looking for donations or money, supplies, wood, sellable items, or vollunters to do the construction. The total Price that I have estimated, is as much as 25,000.00, but that includes the demolition of the other buildings. That however is not as much of my first priority as the roof, floor, and fencing. Anyone looking to make any contribution or questions My Stable is for animals in need for human attention, and a roof over their head. Or anything that has had a horrible life. I due my work in memory of my 2 year old Appaloosa Horse who died due to a Veterinary, and barn managements Neglect of a mysterios illness. Her name was Little Angel Baby. With this barn and her half sister her memory and her soul can be spread to help others. Thies stable hepled save the lives of 2 horses I rescued, a palamino gelding, and a POA and now it houses my 4 year old appaloosa mare, and her adopted pal inky a pure black cat.
