Posted by Michelle on 8/31/2005, 11:46 am Marquita is a very loving mother. Her foals are exquisite. She has produced two regional halter champions, and one Country English Pleasure champion. She has produced predominately filly foals. She crosses will with Arab stallions for very successful NSH foals. She has been easy to settle, will hand or pasture breed, or I have settled her the last two years with AI. I am looking for a breeding home for her, as I am getting out of the Saddlebreds. She is a very well mannered horse, and easy to keep in a herd, but I feel guilty letting a breeding sound, wonderfully bred, superior producing mare go to waste retired out in pasture. I have a wonderful older bred mare by Mark Hall Supreme. She is not a young mare, but is the best producing mare I have owned. This mare is very Saddlebred in type- long upright neck set, beautiful head with kind eye, long legs and lots of natural action. Her foals are very upright, short backed, long neck and action to burn. She gave me this spring thru AI, a beautiful chestnut colt, by the Color of Fame son, Norsks Star of Fame.
