Posted by Civet Saw a young Oriental girl leave a cinema this evening; very pretty and nicely dressed (dark green jacket, knee-length split skirt, opaque black tights, ankle boots). Followed her for a short while, and saw her light up an all-white 100 (Berkeley I think). Tho' it was dark (British winter evenings), it was a lovely sighting--- seeing such a stylish young Asian lady smoke while walking down the street --- or any time --- is always pleasing.

Got a nice sighting during the interval of a concert on Thursday. A young Chinese lady (she was speaking into her mobile phone, by the liberal use of tonal flexions I guessed she was speaking Chinese), prob late 20s, wearing a white above-the-knee dress and white heeled sandal-shoes, dyed permed shoulder-length hair, was smoking a Virginia Slims cigarette outside the theatre (there didn't seem to be a smoking area inside at all). Her friend, about the same age but more serious looking (short hair, black trouser suit) joined her, and took a VS from the first girl and lit up. I was able to watch them both smoke, quite nice :)
