Posted by PH So, does she inhale ?? It reminded me of a girl that i filmed with Jim (SG) last year in England. She was really cute, early 20's and didnt look a smoker, which made it all the more fun when we filmed her. She was from Macau and smoked More menthols as her regular brand, which already made her special. But her style was interesting to say the least. She would take decent drags, and every time she exhaled there would be two jets straight down each nostril, and a tiny wisp would come from her mouth during what she seemed to think was her exhale. Knowing Jim to be a nose exhale fan, i started to ask her about it, and she seemed unaware that she was even doing it. Later we tried to get her to french inhale and do waft exhales. Her friend managed both pretty quickly, but she could neither, and got rather irritated with herself which was quite funny !! She couldnt do it because the smoke wasnt sitting in her mouth, it had already gone through and was coming back down her nostrils... she was totally unaware of what she was doing.... Jim and i talked about if after the shoot... we weren't sure if she was doing what Jim called 'direct inhales' where the smoke just goes straight down without her taking any air, or if she wasnt inhaling properly and somehow it went straight round and out of her nose.... Either way i was impressed because it was different and inhaling isnt the most important thing to me. But Jim likes a 'real' smoker and was intrigued at the possibility of the direct inhale. It sounds like CP's friend had a very similar style. If you read this Jim, can you expand with your wisdom.... or anyone else for that matter...

In CP's excellant post about his time in Tokyo with his Chinese friend, he talked about her not wanting to inhale, yet she did nose exhales almost every drag she took.
