I just got back from three days in Tokyo. Could probably write 6 or 7 posts on sightings alone, but the important thing for now is that while I was gone, I recorded five or six new dramas which just started this week. The one I had hopes for is a drama in which Naomi Kawashima plays a mother of a high school girl and works as a snack mama. I had read that she was getting interested in cigars IRL, and she was recently featured on the cover of Japan's cigar magazine. (I gave my first copy to Jim (SG) and just got another copy for myself yesterday.) Well, it's only the first episode, but she did smoke a cigarette in the first episode while standing behind the counter of her snack and talking to the customers. An all-white 100 for those who care about such things. No brand ID yet. (Stay tuned.) Interestingly, in the cigar magazine article she states that she doesn't smoke cigarettes. In the drama's first episode, she took a couple puffs but it doesn't look like she really inhaled.
