Posted by CP on 9/25/2001, 1:22 pm Another More tidbit. I talked on the phone with a kind of long lost friend last week. (Actually, he has been in Japan for a couple years but without computer.) He told me that his local tobacco shopowner showed him an announcement to the effect that More menthols aren't being stocked anymore and the reds will be phased out next year. Anyone heard of this happening in Japan or elsewhere? I will certainly check the few places I know around here that sell them; I'm not a More smoker, but if it is true that they are being phased out it is sad because that is one less 120 available on the Japanese market.
While cleaning my desktop, I came across a newpaper picture I clipped out about a month ago. The article was about smoking in Asia; the picture shows a kiosk in Hong Kong. Apparently the Hong Kong government is considering banning cigarette advertising in public. What caught my attention in the photo is a sign advertising Mores. The pack shown on the sign is kingsize! I'm hoping Rich or someone else can tell us if there is in fact a kingsize More in Hong Kong or elsewhere.
