Posted by CP on 7/3/2001, 4:56 pm Have you stopped in there yourself? Is it in a group of stores inside the Hilton, or totally separate, or what? And where exactly are the female waitresses working that you mention? (I mean, is there a place to eat, or drink coffee, inside the cigar store? Just trying to understand their connection to the cigar store.) Also, when writing about the customers, you said there are occasionally women as well. (After you said "most customers are foreign men.") Are the women customers mostly Japanese/Asian, or non-Asian? What is the name of the cigar store? (Please check next time if you don't know offhand.) Wow, thanks for the post. Made my day! If I ever go there, I will probably hang out for an hour or so just hoping I can overhear some conversation between a female customer and the female owner! Hey, if you are into the cigar scene or just interested, let me know here or by email and I'll try to send you some URLs for cigar stores in Japan, cigar friendly bars, etc. A good place to start is cigarjapan.com One cigar store they reviewed has a female owner or manager, and the article (in Japanese) mentioned that she smoked a cigar herself about three times a week or so. She looks about 50 from the photo, but I would still love to see her smoking a cigar. She looked like a total non-smoker. Not beautiful and not ugly, just your typical next door obatarian I checked there just yesterday and they had a bunch of photos from the most recent cigar party. Quite a few women holding big cigars, and even a few with them in their mouths. Would love to go to one of those! The great thing about cigars is that the correct way to smoke them is to not inhale, which works great for me as an IRL non-smoker because I have difficulty inhaling even when I try to! Well, thanks again and please reply when you get a chance.
"Just thought you might be interested." Are you kidding? I just booked my Shinkansen ticket to go to Nagoya tomorrow ;-)
